REGULAR MEETINGS
Electric Island Waiheke Trust board meets quarterly.
The EIWT management team meets at least weekly face to face or virtually
MONTHLY MEETINGS
Significant Interest Groups (SIGs) meet at least monthly and sub-groups will be more frequently coordinating their efforts.
ANNUAL OPEN DAY AND INDUSTRY CONFERENCE
The annual Electric Island Waiheke Open Day will be held 27 - 28 February 2021 on the grounds of the Waiheke High School. This location promises to provide the space and function areas for many more vendors demonstration sites and information sessions in state-of-the-art multi-media spaces.
Sunday 28 March will again include sessions and visits to solar installations on the island.
The EV & Beyond Conference will be on the following Monday-Tuesday, 1-2 March at the Waiheke Island Resort. The roster of speakers include international, national and regional industry and scientific experts.
OUR PRIORITY PROJECTS
EIWT and Vector Powersmart are collaborating to install 80 EV chargers for public and private use. The objective is to deliver numerous innovative energy solutions across the island.
A register of all EVs on the island is updated weekly with these statistics provided to the island media to further promote our fossil free objectives
Meetings with the local council and senior city officials have lead to decisions such as electric buses, electric waste trucks, and council commercial and passenger EVs.
EIWT is also committed to forming various EV associations to gain greater recognition and acceptance of our objectives
